In ten minutes my father will be arriving at my apartment. He has removed the back seats from his Yukon and we will spend the afternoon packing it with my belongings. The three years that I have lived at Hillside Ranch have no doubt been three life changing years. The memories of a few busted parties, a few boyfriends, tears, photo shoots, and music will make me smile when I go. However, I am excited for a new location and a new beginning.
Goodbye Hillside Ranch. I’ll still visit your pool when I don’t feel like going to the river.

If anyone can find a cheap flight to NYC around July 4th, and tell me how to obtain this roundtrip ticket (from Austin), I will personally send you a glass vase with a panda on it, half a box of jelly beans, and a 2008 cute dogs calendar. If it’s a really good price I’ll throw in a sketch of Kurt Cobain I did when I was 16. Just know your efforts are not only for the amazing prizes but also so that I might see a very loved friend.

My best friend, Charlie Kramsky, is moving to New York in a couple of days. Charlie means the world to me, and therefore I am happy that he is able to seek out his dream. I am proud and excited that he got an amazing job, at an amazing studio in Time Square, and it would be selfish of me to wish him to stay here, though I do, undoubtedly miss him. Our weekly Jason’s Deli and Chipoltle lunches have to end, as well as any pranks or funny video attempts. Our discussions and semi-reenactments of Jake and Amir videos, frisbee, hugs, and Charlie trying to dodge my kisses, must all be put on hold. It is in times like these that I am more than happy to have a cell phone and happy that Charlie got a new one. Thanks goodness for digital cameras, email, and tumblr, for I expect photo updates regularly.
I feel like I am on the verge of tears today over Charlie’s absence, but then I remember that this is what he has slaved over for the past three or four years. This is why he hardly got any sleep or nutrition, not to mention, the several “hang outs” that he had to miss. Congratulations Charlie, I can’t wait to hear see your name on the bottom of some music video. You are brilliant, and you have been given a recording/producing talent like none other.
I will buy my plane ticket to New York ASAP. I figure I’ll let you get settled in first. What do you think that will take?….I’m thinking one day.
